My name is Lola, and I am a gentle older cat with a soft coat. I spent my entire life with a wonderful family, growing up with their children and other pets while offering comfort through the years. When they decided to embark on mission work with their church, they realized I would not be able to come with them, but they knew of the perfect place for me to retire. They brought me to Lotsa Heart Animal Sanctuary. I could sense their sadness, but I knew they made the best decision for me.
At the sanctuary, I quickly found my favorite perch by a large window, where I could watch birds flit about and trees sway in the breeze and even see some pigs roaming around down below. The sanctuary staff welcomed me with open arms, and I soon loved to snuggle with them, curling up in their chest and purring contentedly as they stroked my soft fur (which I was sure to leave everywhere, I just know they love the new decoration). Their care makes me feel at home.
I flourished in my new surroundings, making friends with other older cats and exploring the various climbing structures. My favorite thing to do is climb to the highest points I can find, gazing out over the sanctuary grounds with my keen eyes. Sometimes I like to hide in the sneakiest of places where no one can find me, just to have some alone time every now and then. The peaceful life I now enjoy is filled with warmth, companionship, and even a little adventure.
I hope my previous family begins their mission with full hearts, reassured by regular updates and photos of me. I hope that seeing me content and happy brings them immense joy and comfort, knowing I am safe and well-cared-for as we all find our own ways to make the world a better place.
