I’m a tomboy who loves exploring all day,
And shake my hay bags in my very own way.
I scream like a pterodactyl when meals are late,
Then open my mouth like a hippo for treats on my plate!
Hey y’all, it’s me, Gidget.
Before Lotsa Heart, my life started out pretty rough. I was kept on a tiny property with a bunch of other animals as part of a backyard breeding program. I was definitely the least favorite of the group as they kept me in the corner of the lot caged inside a sweltering hot shed. I had no roommates and wasn’t properly fed or cared for. They would breed us animals and then sell our children. It was heart-breaking and I would squeal and run anytime those nasty humans came near me. Then one day I guess they decided they were done with me and two strangers came over and scooped me up and took me to this wonderful new place. They were also kind enough to rescue one of the indoor cats (Mufasa) that had been a bit neglected at my place as well and off we went together.
I got to my new diggs and right away was loving life. I met some new pigs like me, as well as some crazy donkeys. I went swimming for the very first time in a pool that was just for me and I even have my own room with a bed, blankets, and all the food and water I want. The other night I even got a treat just for going to bed, it was crazy! I’m still a little skeptical of humans, but I think I’m gonna let these ones pet me and see where it goes, maybe I’ll get even more treats.
I might be the tiniest pig here, but I let my sassy walk do the talkin’. I’ll be running this joint in no time, but for now I’m just feeling pretty fortunate to have found my way here and am excited about this new adventure.
