Since I was paired with my bff Willie.
I’m warmer and nicer and often quite silly.
I love to sit and open wide for a treat.
I long for the days I get a whole pumpkin to eat.
I love to dig mud holes and bathe in the sun.
Doing pig things is always so fun!
It was a chilly fall day in New Jersey when I embarked on a road trip that would change my life forever. I was previously in an overcrowded sanctuary with no pig friends when some stranger just popped in and loaded me into his car with a bunch of cats. I asked where we were headed and the cats just ignored me – typical cats. No bother, I’m always up for an adventure so I just sat back and enjoyed the ride.
After what seemed like an eternity (and a few apple treats from my chauffer) we finally arrived, and it was A-MAZING. Let me tell you. I used to live in a tiny igloo and now I had a whole shed and my very own pasture to root in. And GET THIS, when I woke up the next day there was the BIGGEST potbelly pig I had ever seen in the pasture next to me. His name is Willie and we started talking to each other every day. He said he never had a pig friend either, so we became besties. He had never even built a mud pit! Can you believe it? I taught him right away, it’s my favorite thing to do. Eventually we decided to move in together and now we live in the barn with some donkey pals (they are crazy, but that’s a story for another day).
Even though I have a bum leg, that doesn’t stop me from being at my best. I have to hobble around quite a bit, but I’ll still out run Willie as I come barreling around the corner and sprinting down the straightaway for my food bowl. I may not have had it easy, but I’m always smiling. Life is what you make it and things are looking up for the Brothers Oink.
